My favorite season is…FALL! Around mid-August I start getting excited because I know fall is coming which means Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Halloween and trick-or-treating and then we get into Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love to host and I always have Thanksgiving and Christmas at my house. We have lots of food and lots of fun! The last 4 months of the year are favorite time of year.
To showcase my favorite season I decided to make this Apple Cider Treat Pocket. I made two versions – one for my son to give to his teacher (above) on the first day of school next week and the other is a Thanksgiving table favor (below) that I’ll make for my guests this year. These would be a huge hit at a craft fair too.
Instructions: I got the basic packet dimensions and instructions from fellow Pal Julie DiMatteo. You can see her post with her video instructions here.
After seeing Julie’s post I decided this would be a great idea for apple cider packets and that’s how I put my own spin on Julie’s instructions and made the Apple Cider Treat Pocket.
Measurements:
- Cinnamon Cider base – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored along the 8-1/2″ side at 4-1/4″
- Make a tick mark at 2-3/4″ along the 5-1/2″ side and cut from the tick mark to where the center score line meets the top edge
- Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ DSP – 4″ x 5-1/8″
- Make a tick mark at 2-5/8″ along the 5-1/8″ side and, with the tick mark along the right side, cut from the tick mark to the opposite left corner
- Copper Ribbon: Cut a 12″ piece

These are so cute – I also was wondering about the contents of the tube which really made me read the post. I thought they were garbanzo beans/chic peas at first and thought what a weird combo, but caramel makes much more sense.
