Pals Blog Hop – Gifts From the Garden

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team is showcasing “Gifts From the Garden.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Hi there! Today I have a fall card for the blog hop. I know you might be thinking “Jen, it’s too early for fall themed projects!”. Well, I am here to say “nay, nay” haha. I am ready for fall, it is my favorite season. I am a huge Pumpkin Spice Latte fanatic and look forward to them coming out each year. This card makes me want one right now, yum!
Last week I placed my demonstrator pre-order for the upcoming August – December 2020 Mini Catalog, there are so many amazing products in this catalog you’re going to love it! After placing my order I was in the mood for fall and Christmas themed projects. So right after I placed my order, I immediately sat down and made this card. I love how it turned out. It’s got the deep, rich colors of fall along with some metallic shine and some sweetness from the lace. The combination is stunning!
The Harvest Hellos Stamp Set and the Apple Builder Punch used in this card are carryover items that are in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, you can order them right now and get started creating fall projects just like this one!
Here is a different angle so you can see the metallic shine in this card…
Card Recipe:
(Don’t forget to see the complete product showcase at the bottom of this post)
Cut Your Paper:
Blackberry Bliss Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Very Vanilla Card Base Layer: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
Very Vanilla Layer for Plaid Background: 3″ x 6″
Stamping:
1. Start out by making your leaves background. On your Very Vanilla Card Base Layer stamp the leaves and squiggles from the Harvest Hellos stamp set in Blackbery Bliss ink. Stamp off onto a scrap sheet of paper and then stamp onto the right side of your layer. Repeat and alternate to make a background pattern as shown in the photo. You will need to re-ink, stamp off and stamp on the card after each image.
2. Take your “Very Vanilla Layer for Plaid Background” piece and line it up in your Stamparatus, secure the top portion of the paper with your magnet. Position the Buffalo Check stamp over it and secure the Stamparatus plate on top of it.
3. Ink up your stamp in Blackberry Bliss ink and stamp. You may have to re-ink and stamp again until you get the full Buffalo Check pattern on your paper.
**Note: The paper is a little longer than needed so that you can position your magnet onto it without interfering with stamping. This will also help you position this piece better on your card and have a little bit of wiggle room in case there are any imperfections on your stamped piece.
4. Stamp your pumpkin and his face on to a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock using Jet Black Staz On ink.
5. Color the pumpkin with your Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers. I like to use the darker color for the bottom and the ribs of the pumpkin and then blend it all together with the lighter marker.
6. Stamp your sentiment from the Harvest Hellos stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink and trim with Paper Snips.
Assemble:
1. Take your Blackberry Bliss Card Base, fold in half and burnish with your Bone Folder. Set aside.
2. Take a 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ strip of Copper Foil and use the Ornate Borders Dies to cut out the border.
3. Use the largest circle from your Stitched Shapes Dies and die cut a Very Vanilla circle.
4. Punch out the pumpkin using your Apple Builder Punch. Punch out his stem in Early Espresso Cardstock.
5. Lay your Pumpkin on your Silicone Craft Sheet. Adhere the stem to the pumpkin using Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue. Set aside to dry.
6. Adhere the Buffalo Check layer to the top of the Very Vanilla Card Base Layer using your Stampin’ Seal. Trim any excess with your Paper Snips.
7. Adhere the stitched circle to the layers using your Stampin’ Seal and position it slightly over the left edge of the card. Trim the excess from the circle using your Paper Snips.
8. Pop the pumpkin up on your Very Vanilla stitched circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
8. Adhere the Copper Foil to these layers and position it as shown over the bottom portion of the stitched circle using Stampin’ Seal.
9. Wrap the Very Vanilla 3/8″ Scalloped Lace Trim over the Copper Foil and secure to the back of the layers using Tear & Tape.
10. Adhere the layers to your card base using Tear & Tape.
11. Adhere the sentiment over the lace using Mini Glue Dots then finish it off by adhering the Gilded Gems as shown and you’re done!

Happy Stamping!
