I was so excited to see the new Glow In The Dark 6″ x 6″ Paper on p. 49 in the new September – December 2023 Mini Catalog and couldn’t wait to try it out.
I wanted to stamp on it and while I was experimenting with stamping on the paper I learned a few tips that I want to share with you so you can use this paper with ease on your spooky crafting projects.
Use StazOn Ink
Use StazOn Ink for the best results. StazOn Ink will dry as soon as you stamp it and the image will be much more crisp than a regular ink pad. I tried using regular ink pads and they take FOREVER to dry on this paper. It will be a big mess if you use anything but StazOn Ink!
I DO NOT recommend using regular ink pads on this paper! The image does not come out very clear with a regular ink pad and it stays wet for a LONG time. The image below shows the difference between using a regular ink pad vs. a StazOn ink pad. It’s a tremendous difference!
Warning! StazOn Stains Photopolymer
The Bag Of Bones Stamp Set used for the skeleton in the picture above is a photopolymer stamp set. The downside to using StazOn ink on photopolymer stamps is that you won’t be able to get the ink off of the stamp. (StazOn cleaner will only remove StazOn Ink from red rubber stamps). If you don’t mind this then stamp away!
The Paper Attracts Fibers
When I ran this through the embossing machine all the little fibers from my cutting plates transferred on to the paper.
An easy way to remove the fibers is to use a lint brush or some packing tape wrapped around your fingers and it will come right off.
