Stampin’ Up! has determined an unforeseen defect in the manufacturing process of the Magnetic Cutting Plate that is causing the plate layers to separate after use.
Stampin’ Up! has made the decision to turn this item off (effective immediately) for the foreseeable future. Additionally, Stampin’ Up! will be putting the development of the Mini Magnetic Cutting Plate on hold.
If you purchased the Magnetic Cutting Plate (item 161128), you will be issued a refund within 45 days, regardless of whether you’ve encountered issued with the product. If you ordered the Magnetic Cutting Plate but have not received it yet, you will still receive the product as well as a refund. Please do not contact Stampin’ Up! for your refund, as it will be automatically issued to your original form of payment.
I was very surprised by this announcement from Stampin’ Up! as I have purchased the plate and have had no issues with it…so far. Hopefully the next version will be “the one” and it will be the best one ever! Third time’s a charm, right?!
