Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team’s theme is “Cute Critters” – showcasing their card/project with adorable animals, birds, or insects for any occasion. We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Thank you so much for joining me today. For this month’s theme I decided to use the From All of Us Cling Stamp Set on p. 93 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. This set is so cute with all of the little animals, I love the whimsy!
I have a few young nieces and nephews that have birthdays coming up so I knew this card would be a hit. I love fun folds and found a Jennifer McGuire card technique called the Surprise Window Card and decided to give it a shot. I love how this turned out.
Watch my video below to see how to use your Stamparatus to get your stamp placement just right so that only some of the animals are peeking through the window opening.
Here are the colors I used:
Turtle: Light and Dark Granny Apple Green (face, legs and shell spots), Dark Old Olive (shell center)
Ostrich: Dark Petal Pink (eye lids, neck and legs), Dark Pumpkin Pie (beak) and Light and Dark Smoky Slate (body and wings)
Bear: Dark Crumb Cake (body), Light Crumb Cake (muzzle and stomach) and Dark Petal Pink (nose)
Monkey: Light Cinnamon Cider (body), Dark Petal Pink (face and ears) and Color Lifter (on face)
Toucan: Light and Dark Smoky Slate (body and wings), Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie (beak), Light Bermuda Bay (on eye and beak next to eye) and Color Lifter (on eye)
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on April 14th when our theme is “Great Family Occasions” when our Design Team creates a project for any special occasion. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft space.
