March 2020 Stamp Camp Recap – Beautiful Friendship Splatter Card

Welcome to Day 1 of the March 2020 Stamp Camp Recap! This month the theme was Spring & Easter projects. Today we have the first card that we created using the Beautiful Friendship Photopolymer Stamp Set. This stamp set is gorgeous! There are so many great things you can do with it.

My Stamp Camp students have been asking me to use this stamp set ever since I made a Thank You card using it a few months ago and I kept promising them that I would have a card in class for them very soon.

This card is CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from German Demonstrator Steffi Helmschrott, you can see her original post HERE. I thought this card was so stunning, I knew I wanted to replicate it.

It’s hard to see in the photo but there is a lot of shimmer on the card front. We used Wink of Stella to add shimmer to the flowers and the Frost White Shimmer Paint as splatter to add some more shimmer.

Technique – Splatter with an Aqua Painter: To create this effect you need an Aqua Painter and some sort of ink or paint. Make sure that you have the brush end filled with water and then swirl in your paint or ink. The paint or ink needs to be pretty watery. Then take your index finger and place it above your card, tap the Aqua Painter onto your finger and the ink or paint will splatter onto your card surface. I noticed that the faster you tap the Aqua Painter, the smaller the droplets will be.

How Do You Make It? You can see the full PDF instructions HEREMake sure to scroll down to the bottom of this post to see the showcase for the products used to create this card.

I hope that you’ll check back on Wednesday when I show the next Stamp Camp project that we made this month!
Happy Stamping!
Jen
