Stamp Camp Recap – Beautiful Day Butterfly Birthday Card

Happy Monday everyone, welcome to Day 1 of my February 2020 Stamp Camp Recap! This week I am going to feature projects from this month’s Stamp Camp class, which was Birthday themed, that I held in my home.

The first card we created was this gorgeous card that features a stamp set from the Annual Catalog. With all of the excitement surrounding Sale-A-Bration and the Mini Catalog I wanted to make sure to feature something from the Annual Catalog in class as well. There are a lot of great products in the Annual Catalog and I don’t want them to get left out of all of the fun!

The stamp set used in this card is the lovely Beautiful Day Cling-Mount Stamp Set. I based this card off of one that I saw Australian Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Alisa Tilsner make. You can see her original project HERE.

Isn’t her work gorgeous?! I just loved her cards so I knew I wanted to try to re-create them with my own spin on it. I added a bit more color and some black for some drama and contrast. I mean, what girl doesn’t like a bit of drama?! (wink, wink)

Here’s a close-up of the butterfly…

I just love this card so much, it’s one of my favorites so far. I am sending it to my mom for her birthday and I just know she is going to love it. She is a big fan of butterflies and come on let’s face it, what could be better than butterflies and a little bling?! I know it’s going to be a hit.

How Do You Make It? See an updated version of the PDF instructions HEREMake sure to scroll down to the bottom of this post to see the showcase for the products used to create this card.

I hope that you’ll check back on Wednesday when I show the next Stamp Camp project that we made this month!

Happy Stamping!
Jen
