Today I have a Tropical Slider Valentine’s Day Card to share. I always try to make my husband a card that is going to surprise and wow him in some way so I knew that I just had to come up with something amazing for him. He’s actually very spoiled now because anytime I show him a “normal” card, he thinks it’s too plain and boring…I’ve created a monster!
Here is what the front looks like before you pull the tab to open it…
And here is a close-up of the front once it is open…
I really like how this turned out. I had a few different backgrounds that I tried before this one, but they just didn’t seem right. As you can see I used the debossed image (where it looks like the leaves are sunken in instead of raised up) from the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder (Item# 152321). I really like it.
To create the heart border I used the Heart Punch Pack (Item# 151292) and punched out a scalloped heart in Flirty Flamingo Cardstock and then put the scalloped heart in the plain heart punch to punch out the center heart. I love how the scalloped heart border adds a nice finishing touch.

Debbie you are so sweet, I'll definitely relay the message.
I just love the meerkats, and really like the way you've combined them with the tropical DSP and the leaves embossing folder. TYFS!
