Monster Bash Spooky Staircase Diagonal Cut Card

Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for “My Favorite Season” – showcasing our favorite stamps and supplies for our holiday project. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

To be honest, this whole time of year is my favorite. Once September rolls around and the promise of Pumpkin Spice Lattes is in the air I get so excited! I love Halloween, Thanksgiving AND Christmas all for different reasons. My 8 year old son’s favorite is Halloween. He loves it so much that every year after we finish trick or treating, he cries. He is always so sad that it’s over.

So in honor of my son’s favorite holiday, I have created a Diagonal Cut Card using the Monster Bash Suite. I was so excited when I saw this suite. I honestly think it is probably the cutest Halloween set that Stampin’ Up! has come out with yet.

The inspiration for my card was actually from a picture I found during a Google search. The framed monster paper reminded me of those old gallery walls that you see in a haunted house, so I really wanted to make something inspired by that. I found this picture and used it for my inspiration.

And here is the finished card:
Make sure to scroll all the way to the bottom of this post to see the full tutorial to make this card.

I made a diagonal cut card base out of Early Espresso cardstock. I then made the stairs and adhered those to one side and positioned the “Open If You Dare” sentiment to the top of the stairs. The gallery wall on the right side of the card really completes the haunted house vibe.

I am really happy with how this card came out and hope that you love it too!

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-Up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Don’t forget to show us some love my commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, November 13th when we showcase projects with layers of Designer Series Paper (DSP) and embellishments for any occasion. Don’t miss the fun!
